Raising a Havanese rescue dog

If you get the wrong dog for your situation then that is a bad thing for not only you but also for the dog. Before you go out and invest in a Havanese rescue dog you may want to take a look at some of the basic Havanese information. The Havanese dog usually gets about 29 centimeters in length and 6 kilograms in weight. That is hardly a big dog for you to flop around with so if a big floppy dog is what are you looking for then you may want to reconsider a Havanese rescue dog.

But for all they lack in size the Havanese make up for in intelligence. They are one of the smarter breeds of dogs but they are also one of the more hyperactive as well. It takes a very patient person to train a Havanese but when you are done you have a Havanese that listens to your commands and offers you a lot of love.

Havanese rescue dogs are often referred to as apartment dogs for many reasons. They actually make excellent watchdogs, as they are quick little dogs that can make a lot of racket when someone is trying to break into the house. If they feel loved they are very loyal and are wonderful to have around children.

They are also playful little dogs that love to show off their wit and intelligence. Just try and match wits with a Havanese.

The Havanese rescue dogs are also referred to as apartment dogs because they really do not require a lot of exercise at all and their compact size means that they do not take up a lot of space in general. They are very loyal dogs and wonderful to have around children as they are very gentle and love to play. Their small space requirements make them a popular pet for city dwellers.

Havanese rescue dogs are a lot like smart little children on a sugar high. They are capable of understanding what you want from them but sometimes it takes a while to get them to do what you want when you want it done. It takes a lot of patience, deep breaths, and counting to ten to train a Havanese but in the end the payback is worth it.

Your Havanese rescue dog is going to require daily grooming not only to keep their coat healthy but to keep them healthy as well. A tangled coat on a Havanese can lead to health issues so make sure you keep their coat clean and free of tangles.

But the Havanese’ also have their own requirements. Havanese rescue dogs require daily combing and brushing of their coat so that their coat remains clean and smooth. A tangled coat on a Havanese could lead to health issues down the road so take the time each day to love and care for your Havanese and they will return the favor by offering you years of love and dedication like no other dog can give.
