Is your litter box problem bad behavior, or is it something more serious?

Bad cat! How many times have you found yourself saying this over the years? Anyone who has ever owned a cat has uttered these words at least a few times because let’s face it…cats can be bad. Actually, cats have unique personalities, just like humans, and they experience many of the same moods and feelings that we do. And, a lot of the time, they have attitude problems, and just do whatever they want, whenever they want to. This includes peeing in places other than their litter boxes.

There are a lot of people who are under the misconception that bad cat behavior is something that you can’t really do anything about. Actually, cats can be trained, pretty much as easily as dogs can be, and this training also includes making sure that the cat is always using the litter box to do its business, and not going anywhere else. You have to let the cat know who is really the boss in the house, and make sure that if there are behavioral problems, such as peeing outside of the box, are taken care of as soon as possible.

If your cat is peeing outside of its box, this is a cat behavior problem that you can usually take care of pretty easily. First of all, you need to try and figure out what is causing the problem in the first place. Once you figure this out, it will be much easier to take care of the problem. There are many things that may be causing the bad cat behavior, so it may take a while to figure out why your cat is doing this.

Start out by checking out the litter box. The cat behavior problem may be simply the fact that the litter box is too dirty for the cat, and he just won’t use it. Start cleaning the box more often to see if this is the problem. If it is, the problem should go away pretty quickly.

If your cat is still peeing around the house even if you are cleaning its box often, then you should take it to the vet, to make sure that there are not any physical problems. For example, there are problems with male cats and their urinary tracts, which can lead to excess urination.

If this turns out to actually be the problem, then you probably do not have a problem with cat behavior at all, and once you have it treated, the problem should stop. If there are no health problems, then you need to start trying to take care of the problem.

All it takes is a little bit of education about cat behavior to make sure that your cat uses its litter box, and is also a well-behaved animal that is going to be your friend for a long time.
