<p>its a female, white in colour. i've 3 pairs of zebra finches along with a couple of munias kept together. the other birds seem happy and active. this little girl sits in the corner...all sleepy and fluffy...the males either pluck its feathers or make odd gestures. What exactly is the matter??</p>

hmm...zebra finches are not likely to get this way...you may want to remove her from the cage and give her special treatment. She might not have enough calcium in her system. If you put a cuddlebone in a seperate cage with her in it, she may get better. Hope I've helped! ^^

I heard that some times they get depressed and birds will do this. I had a parakeet that when separated from the other he would sit in the corner and not move. You may also need to watch her and make sure she is not being abused by the others. If so move her to another cage and see if she gets better.
This is exactly what happened to my pet chickens several times. I also think this bird is depressed. Try removing it from its cage and feeding him/her, their favourite treats. Pet it/ show affection in any other way and talk to it. He/She should recover within a few days if you do this continuously. If it doesn't recover, then take it to a vet.
